As an ELA instructor in a career and technical school, I have used many of the STEPS activities in my classes to support reading. These activities have helped me focus on good lesson planning with before, during and after reading components, and as a result, my students have become more involved in the reading process. Effective reading skills are necessary for all students to succeed in the workplace, post-secondary schools, and in life. Gina Dietrich, Academic Support Instructor
